Grandstream GRP2615 quick guide

The GRP2615 is the desk phone most PMX customers use. It has a color screen, line keys down each side of the screen, and dedicated buttons for the most common tasks.

Make and answer calls

  • Call out: dial the number and press Send, or lift the handset and dial.
  • Call another extension: just dial the extension number.
  • Answer: lift the handset, press Speaker, or press Headset if you use one.
  • Redial: press Send with nothing dialed.

During a call

To Do this
Put a call on hold Press Hold. Press it again, or the flashing line key, to resume.
Mute yourself Press Mute.
Change volume Press the volume buttons while you're on the call.

Transfer a call

  1. Press Transfer.
  2. Dial the extension or number.
  3. Press Transfer again. The call is sent, and you can hang up.

  2. Dial the extension or number and wait for them to answer.
  3. Tell them who's calling.
  4. Press Transfer again to connect the caller. If they can't take it, let them hang up, then press the flashing line key to go back to your caller.

Send a caller straight to voicemail

Press Transfer, dial 7 followed by the extension (for example 7101), then press Transfer again.

Park a call

Parking puts a call on hold where anyone in the office can pick it up.

PMX sets up park numbers for your office, and they can be different at each location. Ask your office manager or PMX which numbers to use. Your phone may also have park buttons already set up.

  1. While on the call, press Transfer, dial one of your park numbers, and press Transfer again.
  2. To pick the call up from any phone, dial the same park number.

Three-way conference

  1. While on a call, press Conference.
  2. Dial the second person and wait for them to answer.
  3. Press Conference again. All three of you are now connected.

Voicemail

The Message button lights up when you have a new voicemail. Press it to listen. See Set up voicemail for more.

Call history

Press the Call History softkey on the home screen (or open the menu and choose Call History) to see missed, received and dialed calls.
